Laminam
Posted: 19 July 2010

Laminam has introduced 2 new collections, Progetto Filo and Progetto I Naturali.

Progeto Filo and Progetto Filo Romantico

This is a beautiful Collection where the ancient splendor of artistic ceramics lives again.

With Progetto Filo, light and shadows play with the three-dimensional material to create unique surfaces in public and private spaces. The iridescent slabs interact with the light offering spectacular Bronze, Cast Iron, Silver and Gold iridescent effects. Filo, available in four colors, is also presented in the Romantico version where the three-dimensional material is combined with a delicate floral decoration.

Progetto I Naturali

With this collection Laminam retrieves the beauty, elegance and softness of natural stones.

Travertine, Basalt, and Crema Marfil are three Mediterranean stones rich in history and culture and are re-proposed with the Laminam slabs to dress and cover walls and floors of any surface and volume. Three textures, amongst the most classic and appreciated by architecture, are interpreted in a modern unique manner; each one is created only in one color version.

The high aesthetic level faithfully reproduces the texture and color of the stone thanks to a technology based on the respect for the environment as fundamental value.

Plastic Welding Division Road Trip
Posted: 18 July 2010

The Plastic Welding Division of Plastral has joined our Western Australian agent, Polyweld Machinery in what must be one of the country's longest sales trip.

The aim of this venture was to introduce plastic welding equipment to some of Australia’s more remote regions at shows and with personal visits.

Beginning in Perth we traveled through the mining communities of Kalgoorlie and Laverton, along the Great Central Highway (also known as the Outback Highway) to Ayers Rock and then to Alice Springs for their annual show.  The next appointment was the Tennant Creek show then on to Darwin. This leg took two and a half weeks.

The completed journey is still under way down the west coast and back to Perth, overall a trip of around 9000 kilometers.

The Polyweld display van won second prize at the Alice Springs Show in the best commercial display category.

We were well received wherever we visited and this will now become a regular event.
